Medicine under the Shang civilization in ancient China involved much magic and superstition, as it did other early civilizations. Much of the knowledge about ancient Chinese medicine comes from two books, the Chou Li and the Huang Ti Nei. There are evidences that some modern medical practices and knowledge date back to the Shang civilization.
