To access OverDrive you will need to logon to the Hale Portal using your school account details. Browse along to Library and then drop down until you find eBooks. OverDrive needs your Library Card number. This will be the number under the barcode on your SmartRider. You can also get your details by signing onto the catalogue and looking at My Details. Make sure you tick the little Remember me prompt and it will save these details for your next visit to OverDrive.
If an item is borrowed by another user you can place a reserve on the next available copy. Also as we expect that are limited items will be in high demand we would appreciate you returning them as soon as you no longer need them.
Your borrowed titles will automatically expire when they're due, which means you'll never be charged a late fee. You can also return titles yourself if you finish reading them early and want to make room for more checkouts.
You can return downloaded titles using the app software you used to download them. See our help article to learn more.
You can also return titles right from your school's digital collection. Just select the Return Title button below the title on your Checkouts page (under your Account).
We strongly encourage you to join Cambridge Library as this emembership will give you access to online ebooks, digital audio and emagazines. Just fill out an emembership application form and get a parent or guardian to sign it and we will do the rest on your behalf. Cambridge Library also appears to have their own emembership application form available through their website.
