Businesses must be able to respond to the changing face of consumer demand. The tastes and expectations are changing as the consumer class rapidly expands.

Task outline

In small groups investigate a business that has developed a product or service aimed at satisfying one emerging trend as outlined in the HSBC report - The changing face of Consumer Demand.  Explain the reasons behind your choice and how it might adapt in the future. 

Present your findings in a PPT MIX with slides covering the following topics:

  • Demographics (consumer profile)
  • Business profile
  • Specific good or service (new or improved)
  • Analysis of marketing example e.g. advertisement, webpage
  • Meeting consumer demands
  • Future opportunities for growth or change
